Easter will be a very special occasion to visit Citt\u00e0 della Pieve, lovely Umbrian city on the border with Tuscany, full of history, art and culture, and known as the home town of Il Perugino.<\/p>\n

The fair will host more than 50 expositors from all Italy with delicious regional food and handmade products. Starting from the most symbolic umbrian food such as truffle, oil, wine, cured meats, lentils you will be able to take a journey through Italian traditional regional products.<\/p>\n

In particular Citt\u00e0 della Pieve is famous for its \u201cred gold\u201d the saffron, which you will be able to discover with different realizations.<\/p>\n

Inside terziere Borgo Dentro (have a look at tuscanyumbriablog to find out what are \u201cterzieri\u201d and \u201cPalio of Citt\u00e0 della Pieve\u201d), there will be Quadri Viventi, an evocative representation of the Passion of Christ, with more than 40 characters that will show several scenes of Jesus\u2019 life.<\/p>\n

It is a very recommended event to participate, really impressive and emotional! But don\u2019t be afraid of the queue, the place is not very big, so few people at a time can enter inside.<\/p>\n

From April 24 to May 2, 2020 the Tulip Festival returns, the important event held every year in spring in Castiglione del Lago-<\/p>\n

Every year since 1956 in Castiglione del Lago there is the Spring Festival in honor of tulips that were grown by Dutch families who moved to the lake.<\/p>\n

During this period, everything is embellished with flowers: windows, balconies and small wagons.<\/p>\n

The parade of allegorical floats decorated exclusively with tulips, together with the palio are the highlight of the event, which also includes the opening of typical taverns, costume games of the Ascanio della Corgna era, the decoration of shop windows, windows, balconies, squares and alleys.<\/p>\n
